My new EP is out today, it’s called Be Brave and features four new tracks. You can listen on Spotify, Bandcamp or any of the main digital platforms. It was produced by Marcus Hamblett and features contributions from Lewis Renshaw (electronics), Andrew Stuart Buttle (violin), Jonny Wildey (AKA Alphabets Heaven, electronics) and Tom Heather (drums). I hope you like it! More news coming soon, I’ve already got the next release ready to go!
Huge thanks to everyone involved in making our recent tour of Japan so wonderful – Rachael Dadd, ICHI, Rob Pemberton and Marcus Hamblett for their musical skills, Cow and Mouse for organising everything so well, Bunsho for great sound engineering and the people of Osaka, Tokyo, Kanazawa, Nagoya, Hiroshima, Matsuyama, Kumamoto and Fukuoka for coming to the shows! I CANNOT WAIT to come back as soon as possible. Arigato gozaimasu, matane! Osukalesamadeshita! xxx
Yesterday I handmade an EP just for the Japan tour with Rachael Dadd and ICHI. It’s a linocut and ink stamp on recycled brown card and each one includes a separate linocut tracklisting card and unique ink drawing! Three tracks, three colour options. The tracks were recorded live at Brewpub De Kromme Haring in the beautiful city of Utrecht for Onder Invloed / The Influences. We’re at on the plane now, about to fly to Helsinki then on to Osaka!
An amazing video blog called Onder Invloed / The Influences asked to film me playing a couple of covers of songs that influenced me. I chose a song by Emiliana Torrini and one by Björk – two amazing and inspirational Icelandic women! 🇮🇸
They were filmed at the wonderful Brewpub De Kromme Haring in Utrecht. You can watch them in full now, as well as a new live version of my own song Space, here:
